10 worst things about winter.

#10. Lack of hot cars. One of my very favorite things. The sun is SO not powerful enough to heat up cars during the winter.

#9. Extra darkness. When you get up it's dark. When you get out of class it's dark. When you go to bed it's dark...

#8. Slipping on ice. Or always being paranoid about slipping and making a fool of yourself in front of the rest of BYU campus.

#7. Cold steering wheels. Always trying to find gloves while trying super hard not to crash in the process.

#6. Waking up when it's SO cold. I mean, it's so much easier to wake up early in the summer, don't you think?

#5. Inability to play outside without ten+ extra pounds of clothing.

#4. Scraping the car windows. Especially when you're already late. And ice on the inside of the car is completely inexcusable.

#3. Frozen everything-especially water containers. Breaking ice, carrying out buckets of hot water, banging out plastic buckets, thawing out containers in the garage, draining the hose...

#2. Nasty dry skin aka cracking painful hands. Aka disgusting. And unattractive. And they catch on your tights, and nylons, and anything smooth and silky. My hands already grossed someone out this week. It wasn't actually the dryness this time, but still. I'm sure that contributed.

#1. Sickness. Germs everywhere. Weeks on end. Flu. Colds. Sinus infections. Cough. Fever. Aching, aching, all the way to the bone.

Thank heavens I'm going to California!
